2024
Shortly after the New Year, the City will be starting a water main replacement project along Bush Ave, Woodbridge Dr and Walker St. At this time, a definitive start date has not been established but it is anticipated to begin in January 2024. The project will replace
aged water main with the objective of improving system hydraulics, increasing fire flow capabilities and improving reliability. This involves the installation of new water main, disinfection, pressure testing and transfer of services to the new main. Detailed project
plans can be found below and the timeline will be updated as information becomes available.

2023

Genesee County Road Commission and Grand Blanc Township’s Saginaw Street turning lane addition from City Limits at Charing Cross to McCandlish project will begin on Monday, September 25^th and is planned to be finished by October 31^st. This project will improve safety with the addition of the turning lane. Saginaw Street will remain open during the full project.

Perry Road milling and resurfacing begins July 24th between Saginaw Street and just East of Genesee Road. Expect traffic delays for 2 weeks. 

Center Road - Construction begins on March 14th. Traffic WILL BE restricted to local only (residents). Center Road will be closed from Saginaw Street to Hill Road to thru traffic.

The following schedule is weather dependent, rain may impact this:

• Tuesday, October 4th: On Kings Knight Circle & Kings Fairway Court, all cars need to be moved by 7:00 AM for the top coat to be completed. Kings Fairway Entrance will also have its top coat completed on 10/4, so please use the North Entrance.
• Wednesday, October 5th: On Kings Carriage and Kings Knight Circle, all cars need to be moved by 7:00 AM for the top coat to be completed for Kings Carriage. Kings Knight Circle needs to move so you are not blocked in by the road construction.
• Thursday, October 6th: On Pleasantview and Arileen, all cars need to be moved by 7:00 AM for the top coat to be completed.
• Monday, October 10th: At the McFarlen Library, all cars need to be moved by 7:00 AM for the top coat to be completed.
• Tuesday, October 11th: On Perry Creek, all cars need to be moved by 7:00 AM for the top coat to be completed.

PLEASE NOTE: The Bella Vista Drive project is NOT a City of Grand Blanc street project. This section of Bella Vista is located in Grand Blanc Township and the project is being completed by the Genesee County Road Commission. As such, any questions will need to be directed to the County Road Commission at (810) 767-4920.

Center Road Re-construction
Center Rd from Saginaw Street to Brainard will undergo reconstruction and realignment.  This project is MDOT funded and 80% of the cost is paid with MDOT funds.  Bids are being accepted in June with an anticipated start date in summer of 2022.  Plans can be found here.

2019-2020

Perry Road Diet 
The Perry Road Diet study was grant funded by the Iron Belle Trail grant. The study was presented at the November 13, 2019 meeting and approved the diet to be implemented in summer 2020.
